Incorporating Coaching Skills Into Everyday Leadership
iCON SUMMIT 2025
Leadership isn’t just about titles—it’s about the ripple you create when you lead wisely. In this session, we unpacked how everyday leaders can adopt the coach’s mindset—listening deeply, asking powerful questions, and giving feedback that sparks growth—so that every conversation becomes an opportunity for development. This session guided leaders on how to shift from “managing” to “leading” by inspiring ownership, curiosity, and resilience in their teams—because great leaders don’t just direct; they guide, support, and unlock potential in every moment.

HEY, I’M ABBIE.
I was your quintessential oldest-sibling-people-pleasing-growth-oriented-move-a-million-miles-an-hour-hyper-achiever. And then I realized I was addicted to chaos and needed to slow down. I became a certified coach, and now I work with young professionals, leaders, and teams to help them navigate challenges, enhance their performance, and make sustainable change. My work supports a variety of professional and personal growth, including confidence, presence, and leadership skills throughout several stages of life, from the transition into the workforce to leading a team for the first time. Typically, coaching is done by and focused on older executives. My thinking: Why wait? We develop so many habits, skills, perspectives, beliefs, and assumptions in the early phases of our career. Why not be intentional about becoming who we want to be while navigating that evolution?
